Baboons are monkeys with long snouts that look a bit like a dog’s nose. They have thick fur and strong arms for climbing trees and rocks. Baboons can be as big as a medium-sized dog. They have sharp teeth, but they mostly use them to eat fruit and plants.
Baboons live in large groups called troops in Africa. They are very noisy and love to chatter and bark at each other. Baby baboons hold onto their mom’s belly when she walks around. Baboons are smart and work together to find food and stay safe from bigger animals.
