Reindeer live in cold, snowy places and have big, fuzzy antlers on their heads. They are the only deer where both boys and girls grow antlers! Reindeer have special hooves that work like snowshoes to help them walk on top of the snow.
Reindeer live in large groups called herds. They eat plants, grass, and a spongy plant called lichen. In winter, they use their hooves to dig through the snow to find food. Baby reindeer can stand up and walk on the same day they are born!
