Blue jays are bright blue birds with white and black markings. They have a pointy crest of feathers on top of their heads. Blue jays are loud and bold birds. They make a noisy “jay jay” call that is easy to hear.
Blue jays are very smart. They can copy the sounds of other birds, even hawks! They eat nuts, seeds, and bugs. Blue jays like to hide acorns in the ground and come back later to eat them.
