Horses are big, strong animals with long legs and flowing manes. They can run very fast and love to gallop in open fields. Horses can be brown, black, white, or gray. A baby horse is called a foal.
People ride horses for fun and for work on farms. Horses eat hay, grass, and sometimes apples or carrots as a treat. They say “neigh” and sleep standing up!
