The anaconda is one of the biggest snakes in the world! It can grow longer than a school bus. Anacondas have green and brown skin that helps them hide in the water and mud. They are very heavy snakes and can weigh as much as a grown-up person.
Anacondas love to swim in rivers and swamps. They are much faster in water than on land. Their eyes and nose sit on top of their head so they can peek above the water. Anacondas squeeze their food in a big hug before they eat it.
