The piranha is a small fish with very sharp teeth! It lives in rivers in the rainforest. Piranhas are usually about as big as your hand. Even though they look scary, most piranhas are actually shy and like to eat plants and seeds.
Piranhas swim together in big groups called schools. Swimming together helps keep them safe from bigger animals. Their teeth are so sharp they can bite through almost anything! Baby piranhas hide in underwater plants until they are big enough to join the group.
