Movie Sound Effects

When you watch a movie, you hear lots of sounds. You hear doors slamming, rain falling, footsteps walking, and monsters roaring. But did you know that most of those sounds are not recorded during filming? Special people called sound artists add those sounds later to make the movie feel real and exciting.

Sound effects are all the sounds in a movie that are not talking or music. They help tell the story. A creaky door can make a scene feel spooky. Birds chirping can make a scene feel happy and peaceful. Without sound effects, movies would feel strange and empty!
