Frederick Douglass was an amazing man who used his powerful voice to change the world! When he was a little boy, he was not allowed to go to school or even learn how to read. But Frederick was very smart and found ways to teach himself how to read and write! He grew up to be a wonderful writer and speaker who shared his true stories with everyone!
Frederick worked his whole life to help end slavery so that all people could be free! He traveled all over the country, giving big speeches and telling people that everyone deserves to be treated fairly. His brave words helped change unfair laws and made the world a much kinder place! He showed us that learning is a superpower we can use to help others!
