Earth is a big home with many different places to see! In the middle of our world, there is a special line called the Equator. This is where it stays very hot and sunny all year long. It feels like a never-ending summer! In these warm places, you might find tall green trees and colorful birds. The sun shines bright and keeps everything nice and toasty.
At the very top and very bottom of our Earth, things are much different. These are the North and South Poles, and they are very cold! You will see lots of white snow and sparkling ice there. The sun is low in the sky, so it doesn’t warm the ground very much. Animals like fluffy polar bears and waddling penguins love to play in these chilly, snowy lands!
