Uranus: The Sideways Planet

Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun. It’s a giant ball of gas that’s made mostly of hydrogen and helium, but it also has ice in its atmosphere. Because of this, it’s sometimes called an “ice giant.”

Uranus is different from all the other planets because it rotates on its side! This means that instead of spinning like a top, it spins more like a ball rolling down a hill. It also has many rings and moons!
