Imagine if every single book in the world had to be written by hand with a pen! A long time ago, a very smart man named Johannes Gutenberg realized that writing books by hand took way too much time. He invented a giant machine called the printing press to help make books much faster. His machine used little metal letters covered in ink to stamp words onto paper like magic!
Thanks to his amazing printing press, people could print lots and lots of books for everyone to read. This meant that kids and adults all over the world could finally learn new things and share wonderful stories. Johannes Gutenberg’s brilliant invention helped spread knowledge everywhere, and it is why we have so many fun books in our libraries today!
